LEEANN BALL: SAM
LeeAnn Ball is a graduate of The George Brown Theatre School. She is a Toronto actor and competitive international pole aerialist and the current Canadian National Pole Doubles Champion. She is thrilled to be a part of Crux in this years Toronto Fringe. Theatre: Lucy in Lemon (Filament Incubator), Rosa in The Rose Tattoo (GBTS), Mable in An Ideal Husband (GBTS) and in Ellie/Sarah in Munsch Bunch (GBTS). Film/TV: Rogue & Schitt's Creek. 
LAURA DEL PAPA*: THERESA
A proud Franglophone, Laura was born and raised in Montreal. Laura graduated from St. Lawrence College's Music Theatre Performance program and she can now be found bouncing between many aspects of theatre, on and off stage. Though bouldering is a fairly new passion, Laura has been climbing ladders and working as a stagehand/production assistant for three seasons, at Thousand Islands Playhouse, in Gananoque. Select performance credits include The Mask Messenger (Faustwork Mask Theatre), Mimi Marquez - RENT, Madame Thénardier - Les Misérables (SLC Stage), and Rumpelstiltskin - Once Upon A Grimm (Puddle Jump Players). *Dance Captain 
ALEX KELLY: PARKER
Hailing all the way from Prince Edward Island, Alex has performed in such productions as West Side Story- A-Rab (Citadel Theatre), Evangeline (Citadel Theatre/ Confederation Centre), We Are Canadian, Abegweit Soul of the Island (Confederation Centre); Tyler/Vince in Brantwood 1920- 2020, Usnavi in In The Heights, Hello Dolly!, Rolly in Marathon of Hope, Governor Slaton in Parade, and Judas in Godspell (Theatre Sheridan). TAYLOR LAVIGNE: STILLMAN
Taylor Lavigne is a new addition to the Toronto area, hailing originally from Miramichi, NB. For the past 3 years, he and his wife Allison have been studying Music Theatre in Windsor, ON and moved to the city at the end of April. In the past Taylor has performed in hit musicals such as: The Drowsy Chaperone, Oklahoma!, and 42nd Street. He is so excited to be a part of this great new show and is looking forward to what the future holds! |
LAURA DARBY: SOPHIE
Laura is thrilled to be a part of this year's Toronto Fringe Festival playing Sophie in Crux. She recently performed in a staged reading for WILDsound. A graduate of the Randolph Academy of the Performing Arts, her credits include Spring Awakening and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. 
RYAN JACOBS: CHAZ
Ryan is thrilled to be joining the Crux team and being a part of this exciting new production. Ryan is a Barrie-native who graduated from the New World School Of Performing Arts, in Miami, FL where he received a BFA in Musical Theatre. Since returning back to Toronto, Ryan has taken on the role of Artistic Director @suitcasetheatre which is a TYA company based in here in the city. Ryan has a background in circus arts and has trained/worked at a number of circuses throughout the U.S. and England. He has a wide variety of special skills from Flying Trapeze and Silks to Jumping Stilts and Juggling. Favourite past credits include Melchior in Spring Awakening, Fredrick in A Little Night Music, and Jesus in The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot. BARRETT MORRISON: MIKE
Barrett is ecstatic to be joining the cast and crew of Crux! He loves climbing and theatre and to be able to combine the two is a dream come true. You might have seen him in his last immersive theatre show Hot Five which was part of the Contemporary Circus Festival in the Fall, or if you fly Air Canada in the in-flight safety video. Yes, that's me! A big thank you to Greg for writing the show, directing and casting him, to his friends for coming to all his crazy shows and to his partner Brandon. Enjoy the show and give'er up that wall! 
JENNIFER VALLANCE: HANNAH
Jennifer likes to be pushed professionally and personally to find out what she's all about. The surprises and gems can come when you think you've reached your limit. As a performer as well as in her whole life she likes to deeply understand herself and others. She is also a writer, singer/songwriter and filmmaker. She lives with her best friend, a little white dog and a collection of tambourines. |

GREG BORRIS: WRITER/DIRECTOR
Writer/director Greg Borris is a recent Sheridan grad and grateful Brantwood alumnus. After a decade of climbing and a degree in musical theatre, Greg decided to combine his love of theatre with his passion for sport. Crux is the first of a new genre that Greg will develop under Sky Above Us Productions. Sport Specific Theatre will continue to investigate the beauty and grace of sport done well. For the younger crowd, Greg's newest children's musical, Penelope Pirate's Pursuits, will be playing till September 3rd at Storybook Gardens in London, Ontario. ERIC DAHLINGER: CHOREOGRAPHER
Eric is thrilled to be choreographing the unique experience that is Crux. Eric recently completed the Citadel/Banff Centre Professional Theatre Program, where he played Snowboy in WEST SIDE STORY. Selected credits: Dance Captain in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Ensemble in Hello, Dolly! and Graffiti Pete/Dance Captain in In the Heights (Sheridan). Eric also originated the role of Marilyn in the world premiere of Brantwood, Canada's largest site-specific musical, also at Sheridan. Eric spent two summers in the Charlottetown Festival’s Young Company performing in Les Feux Follets (2013), Soul of the Island (2014), and We are Canadian (Dance Captain, 2014). Mary-Margaret has just completed her second year of theatre production studies at York University and is thrilled to have spent part of the summer working with this talented group! Selected credits: Stage Management for When War Was Just a Game and Outrageous Fortune (St. James Drama), Head of Props for Brebeuf’s Ghost (Theatre@York) and Rent (Vanier College Productions), Costumes for Venus [incomplete] and Stage Carpentry for Oh, What a Lovely War (Theatre@York). Upcoming credits include Production Management for The Concept and Head a Tete, both showing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August.
